March 24, 2024-The #44 Emporia State men's tennis team swept singles play on the way to a 6-1 win at Quincy on Sunday afternoon.

The Hawks won two of three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead.Â
Mostafa Elbasnaly and
Harrison Brown picked up a 7-6 (10-7) win at #1 doubles for the Hornets.

Emporia State then ran the table in singles play starting with #54
Anton Sarunic starting things with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #1.Â
Harrison Brown put the Hornets ahead with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #5 followed by a 6-4, 6-1 win by
Hachem Fahem at #6 singles.
Mostafa Elbasnaly clinched the dual win with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at #2 singles.Â
Sergio Vera Martin won 6-2, 6-4 at #3 and
Diego Calvo finished things with a 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) win at #4 singles.
The Hornets will return to MIAA/GAC play on Friday, March 29 when they travel to Neb.-Kearney. First serve from Harmon Park for the men against the #50 Lopers is set for 2:00 p.m. following the women's dual at 11:00 a.m.
