Tyler Kahmann was a unanimous First-Team All-MIAA selection to highlight 13 Hornets that picked up all-conference honors for Emporia State on Tuesday. He was joined on the first-team All-MIAA squad by offensive lineman
Sherman Deaton and defensive back
Jaaron Joseph.
Kahmann was named first-team All-MIAA for the second straight season. He ended the regular season leading the nation in receiving yards, receptions and touchdown catches. His 1,488 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns set Emporia State single season records while his 100 catches are second all-time at ESU to his 101 receptions last season in 12 games. He is the MIAA record holder with 54 career touchdown grabs and set the MIAA single game record with 296 receiving yards against Neb.-Kearney. He holds virtually every Emporia State single game, single season and career receiving record. In his career he has 3,686 receiving yards on 282 receptions and 54 touchdowns. His five touchdown receptions against Neb.-Kearney are also a school record.
Deaton also earned first-team All-MIAA honors for the second straight year. He was a four-time winner of Emporia State's Squarehead Award as the offensive lineman of the game. On the season he had 56.5 knockdowns.
Joseph was named first-team All-MIAA after picking up second-team honors last season. He set an Emporia State single season record with 16 pass breakups this year. He leads the MIAA and ranks second in the nation in total passes defended with 18.
Defensive lineman
Rafe Goucher and linebacker
Caleb Mondi were named second-team All-MIAA.
Goucher is a four time All-MIAA honoree, having earned honorable mention his first three seasons. He anchored the middle of the Hornet defensive line and was 17th in the MIAA in tackles for loss this season. He had a career high three TFL at Northwest Missouri.
Mondi earned his first All-MIAA honor after leading the MIAA with 7.0 sacks, finishing second in the association in tackles for loss with 16.0 while his 71 total tackles ranked seventh in the league.
Quarterback

Carlos Guzman and defensive back
Tyler Schultze were named third-team All-MIAA.
At a loaded quarterback position, Gundy was third-team All-MIAA despite finishing third in the nation in total offense at 305.0 yards per game and eighth in the nation in passing. He set MIAA record with 49 completions and 87 total offensive attempts against Missouri Western and set the Emporia State single game passing record with 564 yards against Neb.-Kearney.
Collins was third in the MIAA with 76 receptions on the year while finishing sixth with 791 receiving yards.
Guzman was named third-team All-MIAA for the second straight year. He had 48 knockdowns on the year and was named Squarehead Award winner against Northwest Missouri.
Schultze leads the MIAA in interceptions with five and is 11
th in the nation in the category. He is second in the MIAA and sixth in the nation in passes defended. His five interceptions rank eighth on the Emporia State single season list.

Emporia State ended the season 7-4, for their fourth consecutive winning record in the regular season.
