Emporia State tennis falls at Southern Arkansas

Women fall 6-1, men drop 7-0 decision

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 March 13, 2023-Both the Emporia State men and women fell to Southern Arkansas on Monday in Magnolia, Ark.  The Hornet women fell 6-1 while the men were blanked 7-0.
 
Andrea Santiago picked up the only win on the day for Emporia State. She won 7-5, 3-6, 11-9 at women's #6 singles.  Anastasia Pesic and Paige Stranghoner were leading 5-4 at #2 doubles when the doubles point was clinched by the Muleriders.
 
For the men Dominik Simunovic went to three sets 0-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2 at #1 doubles. Three other Hornets went to a tiebreaker in a set with Jordi Bou Sastre falling 7-6 (2), 6-4 at #2, Harrison Brown lost 6-3, 7-6 (2) at #4 and Jaden Tredway went down 7-6 (1), 6-3 at #6 singles.
 
Emporia State will continue their spring break trip in Arkadelphia, Ark. on Tuesday. The men will play Ouachita Baptist while the women will take on Henderson State.
