February 25, 2023-In the final home game of the 2023 season the Lady Hornets led for 39:33 on the way to a 77-63 victory over Washburn in the Turnpike Tussle.

The Ichabods took an early 2-0 lead on a pair of free throws by Macy Doebele just 16 seconds into the contest. Tre'Zure Jobe and Victoria Price combined to score the next seven points to give the Lady Hornets the lead for good.  Washburn pulled within 18-16 with 3:38 left after an Aubree Dewey old fashioned three-point play.  Emporia State scored six points in the final 1:19 of the quarter to go up 24-16 after the opening period.

The Lady Hornets then used a 7-0 to go up 33-20 with 7:20 left in the second quarter and took a 41-28 lead into the half.

Emporia State was still up 45-32 with 7:50 left in the third when Washburn went on an 11-2 run to close within 47-43 with 4:17 to go in the quarter.  Ehlaina Hartman stopped the run with a three-pointer only to see Amaya Davison answer with a three of her own for the Ichabods.
