February 25, 2022-It was another come from behind win for the Emporia State men's tennis team as they overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat Ottawa 4-3 on Friday afternoon at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex.

Emporia State started out by winning the double point.Â
Theo Belmonte and
Sergio Vera picked up a 6-2 win at #2 while
Andy Graf and
Jaden Tredway won 6-3 at #3 doubles.

The Hornets dropped the first three matches in singles play to fall behind 3-1 before Belmonte turned things around with a 6-3, 6-0 win at the #4 spot. Vera evened the team competition with a 6-2, 6-3 win at #5 singles before Tredway completed the comeback with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #6.

Emporia State is back in action on Saturday when they play host to Friends. The men's only competition is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Kossover Complex.
