February 15, 2022-The Emporia State tennis teams continue their seasons with a midweek match-up against Bethel at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex. The women will play on Tuesday with the men to follow on Wednesday.
The Emporia State women are 1-1 on the season after falling to Augustana and defeating Tabor. Freshman
Micaela McSpadden has played at the #1 position in the first two matches for the Hornets. This will be the spring opener for Bethel. They fell 6-1 to Fort Hays State in the fall.
The Hornet men are 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the MIAA-GAC North Division. They defeated Augustana 4-3 in the conference opener and then beat Tabor 5-2.Â
Theo Belmonte is 2-0 in both singles and doubles and was the MIAA-GAC North Division Player of the Week last week.
