February 15, 2022-The Emporia State women did not lose a set in a 7-0 victory over Bethel on Tuesday afternoon at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex.

The Hornets only lost two games in doubles play with
Karen Santiago Sanchez and
Viktoria Mackova winning 6-1 at #1,
Paige Stranghoner and
Anastasia Pesic winning6-0 at #2 and
Micaela McSpadden and
Kelsie Burr picking up a 6-1 win at #3 doubles.

Pesic got ESU started in singles with a 6-0,6-1 win at #2 before McSpadden finished off a 7-5, 6-0 win at the #1 position. Stranghoner cruised to a 6-0,6-0 win at #4 to clinch the dual win while
Karen Santiago Sanchez was winning 6-0,6-1 at #3 singles.Â
Andrea Santiago won 6-0, 6-2 at #5 and
Caroline Henry closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-4 win at #6 singles.

The Emporia State women will be back in action on Saturday, February 19 when they play host to Ottawa at the Kossover Complex. Meanwhile the Hornet men will play Bethel on Wednesday, February 16 at the Kossover Complex starting at 3:00 p.m.
