April 12-2021-The Emporia State men's and women's tennis teams step out of MIAA action on Tuesday to play at McPherson. . First serve from the Bulldog Tennis Center in McPherson, Kan. is set for 2:00 p.m.
The Hornet men are 6-3 on the season.
Theo Belmonte is 7-2 on the season for Emporia State with a 6-1 mark at the #6 spot.
Harrison Brown is 6-2 overall with a 4-2 record at #4 singles.
Andy Graf and
Taylor Nelson are both 5-4 overall with Graf sporting a 5-3 record at #3 singles while Nelson is 4-3 at #2 singles. Graf and Nelson have combined to go 5-4 at the #1 doubles spot while Belmonte and Brown are 5-1 at #3 doubles.
The Emporia State women are 5-5 on the year. Ceyrielle Peyroche is 7-3 overall in singles action with a 6-2 mark in the #2 position.
Karen Santiago Sanchez,
Colby Fugit and
Kelsie Burr are all 5-5 on the season. Santiago Sanchez is 5-3 at #1 singles, Burr has gone 5-1 at #4 singles and Fugit has posted a 4-2 mark in the #5 position. Peyroche and Santiago Sanchez are 6-4 in #2 doubles.
The McPherson men are 7-1 overall with a 5-0 mark in KCAC play while the women are 5-3 with a 3-2 mark in the KCAC
The next action for the Emporia State women will be an MIAA dual against Missouri Western on Saturday, April 17 at the EHS Courts. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. Both teams will face off against Newman on Monday, April 19 in MIAA play. First serve from the EHS Courts on Monday will be at 10:30 a.m.
