February 12, 2021-For the first time in 338 days, he Emporia State men's tennis team will take to the courts on Saturday when they travel to Tabor for their season opener. The Hornets will take on the Bluejays in the brand new Tabor College Indoor Tennis Complex in Hillsboro, Kan.

The Hornets were 3-4 last spring when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down spring sports. Emporia State returns five of the six players that competed in their final match against Oklahoma Baptist on March 12, 2020.

Andy Graf was 4-3 last year for the Hornets and teamed with
Harrison Brown to go 4-3 in doubles action as well. They are joined by returners
Theo Belmonte,
Cameron Keinholz, and Luis Maia from last year's squad.Â
Taylor Nelson is also set to return after not playing last year. He was 8-5 in singles action in 2019.
