EMPORIA STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS SEASON COMES TO AN END AT MIAA TOURNAMENT

April 26, 2019-The Emporia State women saw their season come to an end with a 4-0 loss to Northwest Missouri in the semifinals of the MIAA Tennis Championship Tournament.
 
The Hornets fell behind 1-0 after doubles as the #2 team of Jessica Purdy and Cyrielle Peyroche and the #3 team of Shannen Meyer and Silvana Caceres both fell 6-2.
 
Peyroche lost 6-1, 6-2 at #followed by a 6-0, 6-0 loss by Karen Santiago at #5 singles. The Bearcats clinched the win with a 6-3, 6-1 by Marta Ferrando over Caceres at #4 singles.
 
Emporia State ends the season 8-10, a seven win improvement over last season.
