November 9, 2019-A 13-5 run to end the first half provided enough separation for Arkansas Tech as Emporia State fell 79-59 on Saturday evening in Russellville, Ark.

The Hornets were within a point at 22-21 with 3:39 left in the first when the Wonder Boys went on their 13-5 run to end the half.

Brenden Van Dyke led Emporia State with 15 points and seven rebounds and was joined in double figures by
Saadique Perkins with 11 and
Keyon Thomas with ten points.

The Hornets will make their home debut on Tuesday night when they play host to Kansas Wesleyan. Tip-off from Slaymaker Court in White Auditorium is set for 6:30 p.m.
