WU 4, ESU 0
In game one, it was a pitcher's duel for most of the game as the first 17 hitters were retired until Gabby Biondo reached on a walk in the bottom of the third.  The Ichabods got on the board in the top of the fourth on a solo home run.  The Hornets put runners on in the fifth to get a rally going.  Destiny Ojigoh and Biondo each had singles in the inning, but both would be left stranded.  Washburn would pick up two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh as the Hornets fell in game one 4-0.

Destiny Ojigoh was two for three at the plate.  Gabby Biondo and Caitlin VanVleck each had a hit in the game.  Montana Mesler started the game in the circle for the Hornets as she pitched seven innings and struck out five.

WU 6, ESU 1
In the nightcap, Emporia State had six hits and committed six errors in the game.  The Ichabods would score two runs in the top of the first and four runs in the third as the Hornets trailed 6-0.  In the bottom of the third, Valerie Kinney would lead off the inning with a double to right center.  After a Kelsey Phillips' single, Kinney would come home to score on an RBI groundout from Kenzie Garvin.  In the top of the fifth, the Ichabods would get their leadoff batter on, but Destiny Ojigoh made an impressive diving catch and then threw to first to double up the runner.  Both teams would trade outs for the final four innings as the Hornets fell 6-1 in the second game.
