Bing Xu is in his 14th year as head coach for Emporia State. He holds a record of 278- 165 and has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournament appearances.
Rick Squiers is in his 20th season as head coach at Nebraska Kearney.
Jessica Wood-Atkins is in her first season as head coach at Fort Hays State.
LAST TIME OUT
Emporia State fell 3-1 to #11 Washburn. The Hornets took just the 13th set from the Ichabods on the season in the loss. After falling 25-17 in set one and 25-14 in set two, the Hornets battled back to take set three 25-23 before falling 25-23 in set four. The Hornets were led by Jordan Evans, Taylor Otting and Emma Dixon who each recorded a double-double. Evans recorded 12 kills and 24 digs while Otting had 12 kills and 20 digs and Dixon had 30 assists and 10 digs. Jamie Hauptman joined them in double digit kills with ten. Allie Maloney led all players with 28 digs and Tatum Graves led all players with nine total blocks while Evans recorded five.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 11-14 this season, 5-7 in the MIAA. Senior Tatum Graves leads the Hornets with 98 blocks including 13 solo and 98 assists. Graves also leads with 278 kills while Taylor Otting joins her in triple digit kills with 223 followed by Yuchen Du with 166 and Jamie Hauptman with 121. Emma Dixon leads the Hornets with 589 assists followed by Du with 235. Allie Maloney leads the Hornets with 448 digs on the season.
ABOUT #2 NEBRASKA KEARNEY
Nebraska Kearney is 25-1 on the season, 11-1 in the MIAA. The Lopers are on a 12 game winning streak and remain undefeated at home. Julianne Jackson leads the Lopers with 210 kills followed by Kendall Schroer with 207 and MK Wolfe with 182. Lindsey Smith has recorded 938 assists while Ellie McDonnell has 481 digs followed by Jackson with 324.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE LOPERS
The Hornets fell 3-1 to the #1 Lopers in White Auditorium. The Hornets forced the Lopers into a fourth set for just the fifth time this season. The Hornets were led by Taylor Otting who recorded a double-double with 13 kills and a career high 28 digs in the match. Yuchen Du added a double-double with 17 assists and 13 digs. Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 26 assists.
ABOUT FORT HAYS STATE
Fort Hays State is 8-16 on the season, 2-10 in the MIAA. The Tigers are led by Isabelle Reynolds with 211 kills followed by Azlyn Cassaday with 196 and Tatum Bartels with 119. Breann Becker leads the Tigers with 540 assists while Abbie Hayes leads with 372 digs.

Emporia State defeated Fort Hays 3-0 in White Auditorium. The Hornets were led by Tatum Graves with 13 kills followed closely by Taylor Otting who recorded a double-double with ten kills and 14 digs. Emma Dixon also recorded a double-double with a game leading 22 assists and ten digs.
NEXT SERVE
Emporia State returns home for their final home stand of the season. The Hornets host Lindenwood on Oct. 27 before wrapping up the weekend against Central Missouri on Oct. 28.
