COMING HOME
Emporia State returns to start a three game home stand this weekend. The Hornets play host to Northwest Missouri on Friday, October 12 before wrapping up the weekend against Missouri Western on Saturday, October 13.

THE COACHES
Bing Xu is in his 14th year as head coach for Emporia State. He holds a record of 277- 163 and has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournament appearances.
Amy Woerth is in her seventh season as head coach at Northwest Missouri.
Marian Carbin is in her sixth season as head coach at Missouri Western.

LAST TIME OUT
Emporia State defeated Missouri Southern 3-1 in Joplin, Mo. After trailing 1-0 after the first set, the Hornets fought back to take the match in four sets. The Hornets were led by Taylor Otting who recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 11 digs. Jordan Evans also recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 20 digs for the Hornets. Emma Dixon joined Otting and Evans with the third double-double for the Hornets as she recorded 25 assists and ten digs in the match.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 10-12 this season, 4-5 in the MIAA. Senior Tatum Graves leads the Hornets with 83 blocks including 12 solo and 71 assists. Graves also leads with 247 kills while Taylor Otting joins her in triple digit kills with 180 followed by Yuchen Du with 166 and Jamie Hauptman with 111. Emma Dixon leads the Hornets with 489 assists followed by Du with 235. Allie Maloney leads the Hornets with 383 digs.

ABOUT NORTHWEST MISSOURI
Northwest Missouri is 15-5 on the season, 7-2 in the MIAA. The Bearcats are led by maddy Bruder with 294 kills on .235 hitting percentage followed by Hallie Sidney with
214 kills and Sofia Schleppenbach with 173. Maddy Ahrens leads the Bearcats with 739 assists while Olivia Nowakowski leads with 309 digs. Emporia State leads the all-time series 43-16 over Northwest Missouri.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE BEARCATS
The Hornets fell in straight sets to the Bearcats in Maryville, Mo. The Hornets were led in hitting by Yuchen Du with 10 kills and 19 assists while Emma Dixon added 16. Allie Maloney led all players with 12 digs. Du was just three digs away from her seventh triple double of the season.

ABOUT MISSOURI WESTERN
Missouri Western is 12-10 on the season, 4-5 in the MIAA. The Griffons are led by Stephanie Doak with 292 kills followed by Shellby Taylor with 209 and Ali Tauchen with 203. Lauren Murphy leads the Griffons with 568 assist while Liv Winker adds 303. Audrey Keim leads the team with 405 digs. Emporia State and Missouri Western are tied at 43-43 in the all-time series.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE GRIFFONS
Emporia State fell 3-2 to the Griffons in St. Joseph, Mo. Graves led the Hornets with 16 kills, five aces and two blocks. Yuchen Du also had 16 kills and added 26 assists and five digs.    Emma Dixon had a team high 35 assists while Allie Maloney added 22 digs.
