WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
Emporia State will finish the month of September as they play host to Lindenwood on Friday September 29 and Central Missouri on Saturday September 30.
 
THE COACHES
Bing Xu is 261-140 in his 13th year as head coach for Emporia State. He has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournament appearances.
Will Condon is 8-8 after being named head coach for Lindenwood in January of 2017. He was an assistant coach at Emporia State from 1996-99.
Flip Piontek is 219-41 in his ninth season has head coach for Central Missouri.

LAST TIME OUT
Emporia State defeated Washburn 3-2 in the 100th turnpike tussle. With the win, the Hornets broke a 15 match losing streak to the Ichabods dating back to 2009. The Hornets were led by Yuchen Du, who recorded her nation leading fifth triple double of the season, with 12 kills, 26 assists and 12 digs. Four Hornets were in double digits in kills led by Karly Patton with 15, Du and Jamie Hauptman with 12 and Tatum Graves with 10. Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 29 assists. Allie Maloney lead all players with 19 digs in the match. She was joined in double digits by Jordan Evans with 18, Emma Dixon with 13 and Du with 12.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 8-6 on the season, 2-1 in the MIAA. Yuchen Du, who has recorded five triple doubles this year, leads the Hornets with 191 kills, followed by Jamie Hauptman with 137 and Tatum Graves with 125. Emma Dixon leads the Hornets in assists with 328 while Du adds 294. Allie Maloney is leading Emporia State with 223 digs followed by Dixon with 135  and Du with 131. Graves leads the Hornets with 56 total blocks (14 solo, 42 assists) followed by Du with 36 and Valerie Golder with 28.

MIAA TOP TEN
Yuchen Du is fourth in the MIAA with 191 kills, 3.35 k/s and eighth in hitting % at .283. Emma Dixon is ninth in the MIAA in assists with 328 and tenth in a/s with 5.75. Allie Maloney is eighth with 223 digs and ninth in d/s with 4.37. Tatum Graves is second in solo blocks with 14, sixth in block assists with 42 and fourth in total blocks with 56. Du is tenth with 34.

ABOUT LINDENWOOD
Lindenwood is 8-8 on the season, 0-3 in the MIAA. The Lions are led by Emily Wylie with 157 kills, Ivy Reynolds with 313 assists and Megan Hellwege with 345 digs. Emporia State leads the all time series 6-0 over Lindenwood.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE LIONS
The Hornets defeated the Lions in straight sets. Josie Williams led all player with 14 kills. Kimberly Bell led the Hornets with 19 assists while Emma Dixon added 14. Allie Maloney led the Hornets with 11 digs.
 
ABOUT #18 CENTRAL MISSOURI
Central Missouri is 12-3 on the season, 3-0 in the MIAA. The Jennies are led by Kasey Hohlen with 174 kills, Ally Offerdahl with 595 assists and Kylie Hohlen with 330 digs. Central Missouri leads the all time series 49-6 over Emporia State.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE JENNIES
The Hornets fell to the #16 Jennies in straight sets. The Hornets were led by Shayla Cotman and Josie Williams with eight kills each followed by Jamie Hauptman with seven. Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 11 assists. Allie Maloney led the Hornets with 17 digs.

Emporia State will travel to Wichita, Kansas to face Newman on Tuesday, October 3.
