March 20, 2017-The Emporia State tennis teams travelled to Bolivar, Mo. and both the men's and women's teams fell to nationally ranked Southwest Baptist on Monday afternoon. Both teams fell by 9-0 scores with the Hornets losing to the 19th ranked men's team while the women lost to the #11 team in the nation.
Oliver Dixon and Anton Levanovich both went three sets in singles play for the Hornet men, Dixon at #2 and Levanovich at #6.
Tawni Griffey at #1, Sarah Durham at #3 and Lori Ahuja at #6 all had a 7-5 set in singles play for the Emporia State women.
Emporia State will continue their Spring Break road trip with matches against Harding on Tuesday in Springfield, Mo.
