February 21, 2017-The Emporia State men's tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 win over Ottawa on the Milton courts at the Kossover Tennis Complex on the Emporia State campus.

The Hornets had a 3-0 lead after doubles with 8-2 wins by Paddy Cameron and Matheus Mota at number two and Anton Levanovich and Lukas Winkler at number three. The team of Gerard Pont and Oli Dixon won 8-5 at the number one spot.

Emporia State won in straight sets at number one, two, four, five, and six singles while Paddy Cameron on 10-2 in the tiebreaker at number three to complete the sweep.

The next regular season action for Emporia State will be a men's dual against Bethany on Wednesday, March 1 at the Kossover Complex and Milton Courts.
