FINAL ROAD STRETCH
Emporia State travels to Missouri to face Central Missouri and Lindenwood to start their final road stretch of the 2017 season.
LAST TIME OUT
Emporia State won in straight sets over Fort Hays State (26-24, 25-18, 25-20). The Hornets were led by Karly Patton with 13 kills followed by Jordan Evans and Jamie Hauptman with 11 each. Yuchen Du led all players with 34 assists on the match. Allie Maloney led the Hornets with 15 digs followed by Kylie Acebedo with 14, Du with 13, Shelby Innes with 12 and rounding out the double digits, Jordan Evans with 10. Evan recorded a double double with her 11 kills and 10 digs.
THE COACHES
Bing Xu is 266-146 in his 13th year as head coach for Emporia State. He has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournaments. He is 5-15 against Central Missouri and 5-1 against Lindenwood.
Flip Piontek is 227-45 in his ninth season as head coach for Central Missouri.
Will Condon is 16-12 in his first season as head coach for Lindenwood.
