Emporia State fell to Lindenwood in straight sets (25-20, 26-24, 25-10). The Hornets were led by Yuchen Du with 9 kills followed by Jamie Hauptman with 8 and Tatum Graves with 6. Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 13 assists while Du added 12. Allie Maloney was the only Hornet to reach double digits with 12 digs.
The Hornets fell in straight sets to #18 Central Missouri (25-15, 25-18, 25-19). The Hornets were led by Yuchen Du with nine kills, followed by Tatum Graves with seven and Jamie Hauptman with five. Du and Emma Dixon led the Hornets with 13 assists each. Allie Maloney led the Hornets with 17 digs, joined in double digits by Julia Joseph with ten.

Bing Xu is 261-142 in his 13th year as head coach for Emporia State. He has led the Hornets to five NCAA Tournaments.
Destiny Clark is 54-30 in her third year as head coach for Newman. She has led the Jets to postseason berths in each of her first two seasons.

Yuchen Du, who has recorded a nations leading five triple doubles this year, leads the Hornets with 209 kills, followed by Jamie Hauptman with 150 and Tatum Graves with 138. Emma Dixon leads the Hornets in assists with 354 while Du adds 319. Allie Maloney is leading Emporia State with 252 digs followed by Julia Joseph each with 146 and Dixon with 145. Graves leads the Hornets with 62 total blocks (14 solo, 48 assists) followed by Du with 43, Valerie Golder with 30 and Mikayla Simons with 29.

Yuchen Du is fourth in the MIAA with 209 kills, fifth in k/s wiith 3.44. Allie Maloney is ninth with 252 digs and d/s with 4.43. Tatum Graves is second in solo blocks with 14, seventh in block assists with 48 and sixth in total blocks with 62.Â

Newman is 8-10 on the season, 2-1 in the Heartland conference. The Jets are led by Emily Harvey with 235 kills followed by Megan Pedersen with 170 and Kayla Turner with 147. Pedersen leads the Jets in assists with 411 while Reagan Roth adds 253. Anna Burton leads the Jets with 392 digs followed by Kayla Turner with 218.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the fifth meeting between the Hornets and the Jets. Emporia State leads the all time series 4-0 over Newman.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE JETS
Emporia State defeated Newman in straight sets on October 18, 2016 (25-16, 25-18, 25-22). Jamie Hauptman led the Hornets with ten kills on a .360 hitting percentage with three block assists. Otting followed with nine kills and a solo block. Josie Williams joined with eight kills and 12 digs while Graves added another seven kills. Shayla Cotman had six kills on a .312 hitting percentage. Both setters earned a double-double against the Jets. Kimberly Bell had 12 assists and 17 digs while Emma Dixon had 18 assists and ten digs. Allie Maloney led all players with 25 digs also earning seven assists. Burton had four block assists joined by Graves with three block assists.
