January 28, 2017- Addie Lackey had a career high 24 points as six Lady Hornets reached double figures in #7 Emporia State's 84-77 win at Southwest Baptist.

Emporia State led 43-34 at the half but was outscored 22-17 in the third quarter as the Bearcats got back in the game. SBU was within a point at 65-64 with 7:10 left when Kyrstie Miller hit a three-pointer to put the Lady Hornets back up by four. With Emporia State holding a 68-66 lead, freshman Morgan Laudan scored six straight points for the Lady Hornets to start an 11-2 run. Emporia State then hit five of eight freethrows in the final 1:23 to ice the win.

Lackey had 24 poitns on nine of 14 shooting to lead six Lady Hornets in double figures. Kyrstie Miller and Kathryn Flott both had double-doubles. Flott ended with 12 poitns and a career high 17 rebounds while Miller had 11 points and ten boards. Kelly Moten had 12 points, Laudan 11 and Jessica Wayne tenpoints.

The #7 Lady Hornets will be back in action on Wednesday, February 1 against Ft. Hays State. Tip-off in White Auditorium is set for 5:30 p.m. Â
NOTES:
This is the first time since January 6, 2014 that the Lady Hornets have had two double-doubles in the same game. On that day Kionna Kellog had 15 points and ten rebounds while Merissa Quick had 12 points and 11 rebounds in an 81-66 win at Lindenwood.
