April 2, 2016-Both the Emporia State men's and women's tennis teams suffered 8-1 setbacks at the hands of Northwest Missouri on Saturday afternoon in Maryville, Mo.
Tawni Griffey supplied the lone win for the Hornet women, posting a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5) win at #1 singles.
The men's win came at #2 doubles as Matheus Mota and Keenan Smith earned a 9-8 (7-2) win.
The women will be back in action on Friday, April 8 when they play host to Ft.Hays State on the Milton Courts, while both teams will be in action on Saturday April 9 against Neb.-Kearney on the EHS Courts.
