April 23, 2016-Both the Emporia State men and women fell 8-1 to Southwest Baptist on Saturday to end their seasons.
MEN
Emporia State was close to taking a 2-1 lead after doubles as Patrick Cameron and Gerard Pont fell 9-8 (9-7) at #1 while Keenan Smith and Matheus Mota lost 8-6 at the #2 position. Cameron picked up the lone win with a 6-2, 6-1 decision at #2 singles.
WOMEN
Emporia State's Sarah Durham completed a 6-0 run through the MIAA in singles action to highlight the women's dual. She won 6-1, 6-2 at the #6 position to finish MIAA play undefeated in singles action.
