EMPORIA STATE TENNIS WOMEN DROP 7-2 DUAL AT MISSOURI WESTERN

Hornets fall to 9-7 on the year

March 31, 2016-The Emporia State women's tennis team fell 7-2 at Missouri Western on Thursday in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Hornets had only five players for the dual so started in a 0-2 hole with defaults at #3 doubles and #6 singles. picked up wins from Tawni Griffey and Kaley Clark for thier two points.  Griffey won 6-2, 6-4 at #1 singles while Clark picked up the 6-3, 7-5 win at #2 singles.

Emporia State is back in action on Saturday when the men and women travel to Northwest Missouri for duals.  First serve in Maryville, Mo. is set for 1;00 p.m.
