February 26, 2016-The Emporia State men's tennis team opened the fall portion of their schedule with an 8-1 win over Ottawa at the Milton Courts in Emporia.
 
The Hornets got out in front by sweeping the doubles action for a 3-0 lead going into singles play. Matheus Motta won the first singles match 6-2, 6-1 at #2 and Collin Connor clinched the win with a 6-2, 6-4 win at #4 singles.
 
The Hornets will be back in action on March 4 against Friends.  First serve from the Milton Courts is set for 2:00 p.m.

2. Matheus Motta (ESU) defeated Michael Ibarra (OU) 6-2, 6-1
