May 15, 2015-Emporia State will have to battle through the loser's bracket again after falling 9-2 to Southern Arkansas on Friday afternoon in St. Cloud, Minn. The Hornets will take on Henderson State at 4:45 p.m. in their 12th elimination game of the last two years.
Emporia State gave up a single run in the first and two runs in both the second and third to fall behind 5-0. Jordan Hodges doubled in Cody Bobbit to get the Hornets on the board in the fifth inning. The Muleriders answered with three runs in the top of the sixth and another run in the top of the eighth. Tory Bell delivered an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth to score Evan Koehler from first base.
Hendry took the loss allowing four runs on four hits in 2.0 innings plus. Bell and Jordan Hodges both went two for four with an RBI.
