March 15, 2015- Both Emporia State Men's and Women's Tennis teams lost too Lewis University on Sunday, by scores of 6-3.
The Men's team went 2-4 in singles play. The two wins for the Hornets were Matheus Mota def. Chris Jastrab 6-1, 6-0, and Patrick Cameron def. Alan Fijalkowski 6-0, 6-3. The Hornet Men went 1-2 in doubes play with the team of Andrew Davids and Gerard pont picking up the victory over Jastrab and Fijalkowski.
The Women's team went 1-5 in singles competition against Lewis. Amy Fugit def. Jamie Drez 6-0, 6-0 for the victory. The Hornet Women team went 2-1 in doubles action, Tawni Griffey and Camilla Romas def. Nora Mindiyarova and Ana Banic by a score of 8-5. Taylor Smith and Tiffany Khounsombath def. Drez and Kayla Annerino 8-0. Â Â
The Men's team is back in action Tuesday, March 17, 2015 when they face Corado State University- Pueblo in Pueblo, CO at 1:30 PM.
The Women's team is back in action Thursday, March 26, 2015 when they face Northwest Missouri State at the EHS Courts at Noon.
