November 30, 2015-Emporia State fans can purchase tickets to Saturday's NCAA National Quarterfinal game at Northwest Missouri starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2 at the ESU ID & Ticketing Office in the Memorial Union. Tickets will be available from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Friday. Kick-off for the Hornets first ever NCAA Regional Championship game is set for 1:00 p.m. at Tjeerdsma Field/Bearcat Stadium in Maryville, Mo.
Hornet fans that can not make it to Emporia before Friday can call the Northwest Missouri Ticket Office at 660-562-1212 and request spots in the Emporia State section.
Ticket prices are $15 for reserved seats in the Emporia State section, $10 for Standing Room Only, and $5 for student tickets with valid ID.
The Hornets will be playing a 14th game for the first time in school history and have advanced to the national quarterfinals for the first time as members of NCAA Division II. Emporia State is 11-2 on the year, tying the school record for most wins in a season with the 1989 NAIA National runnersup who went 11-2 on the field, and were ranked #18 in the final AFCA National Coaches Poll. Northwest Missouri is 12-0 and ranked #1 in the AFCA Poll. The Hornets have won three games this year against teams ranked in the Top 15 of the National Coaches Poll.
