October 30, 2015-The Emporia State volleyball team fell in straight sets at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Mo. The Hornets fell 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 on Friday night.

Shayla Cotman led Emporia State with eight kills on .333 hitting off the bench. Josie Williams had seven kills while Torrie Rupe added six kills. As a team the Hornets hit .150 with seven blocke
SECOND SET
The Hornets had their best shot at winning in the second set as there were six ties and a lead change in the set. Emporia State fought off three set points before falling 25-23.

Emporia State travels to Maryville, Mo. to take on Northwest Missouri on Saturday. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. in Bearcat Arena.
