October 11, 2015-After not going to overtime in their first seven matches, Emporia State fell in extra time for the second time in three games in a 1-0 double overtime loss to Missouri Western on Sunday afternoon at the ESU Pitch. Sydney Cluck scored the golden goal for the Griffons with 6:06 left in the second overtime.
LOW SCORES
The Hornets were shut out for the second time this season and just the third time this season they have been held to less than two goals. The Griffons were involved in their seventh match in which they scored one or fewer goals.
GO BIG OR GO HOME
Emporia State's seven wins this season have all come by at least two goals, while four of their five losses have been by just one goal.
