Box Score in HTMLSeptember 12, 2014-The Emporia State men's tennis improved to 2-0 on the fall season with a 6-3 win over Friends on Thursday at the Milton Courts.
The Hornets swept the doubles winning 8-5 at #1, 8-3 at #2 and 8-6 at #3 to take a 3-0 lead into singles play. Jonathan Butron won 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) at #2 singles, Andrew Davids picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at #3 and Patrick Cameron provided the sixth win with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #5 singles.
Emporia State is back in action on Saturday when they play Hastings. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. at the Milton Tennis Courts.
