Hornets to play five duals in five days

March 14, 2014-The Emporia State tennis programs will be taking an extended road trip into the St. Louis area to start spring break.  The Hornets will five duals in five days from Friday through Tuesday.

The Hornet men will open the trip in St. Charles, Mo. with an MIAA dual at #50 Lindenwood on Friday. It will be the second straight dual against a nationally ranked team for Emporia State, who is ranked tenth in the ITA Central Regional rankings.  Saturday they will take on NCAA Division III Fontbonne in St. Louis.

The Emporia State women will play in St. Louis against Maryville on Friday before taking on Lindenwood on Saturday in St. Charles.

The teams will meet up for the final three matches starting on Sunday at Quincy in Quincy, Ill. It's back to St. Louis on Monday to play Mo.-St. Louis before wrapping up the trip on Tuesday at former MIAA and current GLVC member Truman.

The Hornet men are 6-1 on the season and 0-1 in the MIAA.  The Emporia State women are 7-2, 2-1 in the MIAA.
