September 7, 2013-The Emporia State cross country teams swept the team titles in the College Division of the J.K. Gold Classic hosted by Wichita State in Augusta, Kan. on Saturday. Both teams placed four runners in the top ten in their division.
Jacob Bull led the Hornet men with a third place finish in a time of 19:35.80 over the 6000m course. He was joined in the top ten by Morgan Riggs in fifth place, David Keach in seventh and Daniel Claassen in ninth place for the Hornets.
Emily Schoenfeld paced the Emporia State women with a third place time of 16:05.58 over 4000m. She was joined by Lindsay Cuadra, Taylor Stueve and Susan Welte in the top ten.
The next action for the Hornets will be at the Woody Greeno Invitational on Sept. 21 in Lincoln, Neb.
