November 8, 2011 -- The Emporia State volleyball team fell behind early and could not recover in a 3-0 loss to #7 Central Missouri. The Hornets hit just .165 while UCM hit .303 in a 19-25, 14-25, 20-25 loss.
Paige Vanderpool led the attack for ESU hitting .417 with 11 kills and five assists. Courtney Haring hit a match high .444 with 10 kills and three blocks. Meg Schwartz had a match high 23 digs as she has averaged seven or more digs per set in four straight matches.
Amanda Gerety finished with 17 assists while Katie Deutschmann added 16 assists to five kills. Both Allie Huffman and Paula Harris had 14 kills to lead the Jennies.
ESU will return to the floor on Nov. 11 when they face Fort Hays State on parents day. First serve is set for 7 p.m. on Veteran's day and all Veteran's will receive free admission to W. L. White Auditorium.
