October 18, 2011 -- The Emporia State volleyball team led three times and forced ten ties in a 3-0 loss at #7 Central Missouri. The Hornets hit .119, but outblocked UCM 6-5 in the 22-25, 21-25 and 13-25 loss.

Brianna Kaiser led the way with six kills and 14 digs while Paige Vanderpool added three kills and had 12 digs. Katie Deutschmann led ESU in kills with eight and Meg Schwartz led the way in digs with 14 on the night. Amanda Gerety finished with 21 assists.

ESU will continue their road trip on Oct. 21 when they travel to Fort Hays State for a scheduled 7 p.m. first serve.

Notes:
The Hornets have only been swept twice this season and both came to teams in the nation's top ten.
