September 17, 2011 -- The Emporia State volleyball team hit .150 for the match as they fell 3-2 on the road at Truman. ESU got 12 blocks but allowed TSU to hit .206 in the 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23 and 12-15 loss.
Katie Deutschmann had her second consecutive double-double as she finished with 15 kills and 24 assists and also added seven digs as she again came just shy of a triple double. Paige Vanderpool also added a double-double for the Hornets finishing with 11 kills and 18 digs. Amanda Gerety had her first career double-double finishing with 32 assists and a career high 20 digs.
Courtney Haring had nine kills along with a match high six blocks. Brianna Kaiser and Morgan Buckner also added nine kills for ESU. Kaiser had 17 digs while Buckner hit a match high .389.
ESU will take the week off before facing Missouri Western on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. from W. L. White Auditorium.
