September 10, 2011 -- The #17 Emporia State volleyball team stormed back after falling behind 2-0, but fell to #4 (NAIA) Azusa Pacific in the Peggy Martin Challenge. The Hornets came from behind in both set two and three in the 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22 and 15-10 loss.

Brianna Kaiser had a career match with 15 kills and a career high 27 digs as she racked up her second double-double in three matches. Paige Vanderpool also added her second double-double in three matches with 14 kills and 15 digs. Amanda Gerety had a career high 56 assists. Courtney Haring had a career high 13 kills to go along with eight blocks. Meg Schwartz had 31 digs while Kaitlin Stearns added a career high 15 digs.

The Hornets will return home to face Northwest Missouri on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. from W. L. White Auditorium.
