Emporia State University Athletics

The Harper, Kan. native was an Honorable Mention NAIA All-American and was named ESU Student Athlete of the Year in 1983-84. Barnwell is fourth in career scoring and ended her career listed in the top 10 in six career statistical categories at ESU.  She was an All-Ditrict 10 performer and is one of only two players to ever score 40 points in a game. Barnwell was a succesful coach at the high school level, taking Emporia High School to several state tournaments.
