Sheeley was an All-American pitcher that led the Hornets to the 2008 NCAA Division II National Championship game as a senior. She was MIAA Pitcher of the Year after going 31-8 on the season with a 1.24 ERA and 338 strikeouts in 271.2 innings. Her 31 wins in 2008 tied the ESU single season record at the time and were the most wins during the NCAA era for the Hornets. She was named to the All-Tournament team at the World Series.
