Meyer was an outstanding defensive catcher for the Hornets from 1965-68. He played in the Kansas City Royals organization for three years advancing all the way to the Triple-A level. He is currently the owner of Meyer Laboratories, one of the most successful developers and producers of water-based cleaning chemicals. Meyer co-founded Sluggers Baseball in Kansas City, the youth program that has produced nearly 30 Major League Draft picks including National League MVP Albert Pujols.
