The Olathe, Kan native was a four-time All-MIAA performer who earned first-team honors at catcher as a junior and senior after getting second team honors as a sophomore. She was the MIAA Freshman of the Year in 2000. Beattie-Day hit a then school record .484 as a junior that still ranks second in Emporia State history and was ranked fifth in the nation in 2002. Her .386 career batting average ranks fourth all-time at Emporia State.
