Emporia State University Athletics

Farris was a two-time national champion in the discus and four time All-American for the Hornets. She had a winning throw of 146-2 as a junior and followed with a winning toss of 145-4 as a senior as she became the first Emporia State woman to win an NAIA Outdoor national championship. She was the national runner-up in the outdoor shot put as a senior after finishing sixth indoors. She graduated ranked second all-time at Emporia State in both the shot and discus.
