Dawson was named NAIA?All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as a junior as Emporia State advanced to the NAIA?National Tournament.  The Chase County High School?graduate holds Emporia State ?career records for kills per game at 3.82 and 20-plus kill matches with ten and ESU ?single season records in kills, attempts, and 20 plus kill matches.  Her 35 kills against Rockhurst in 1991 is the single match record at Emporia State.
