Emporia State University Athletics

A native of Cushing, Iowa, Goodburn earned first-team All-District 10 honors and was an honorable mention NAIA All-American in 1984.  He is the ESU record holder for punting average in a season, with an average of 40.8 yards per punt.  He played professionally for the Kansas City Chiefs and was a member of the Super Bowl XXIV World Champion Washington Redskins.
