Kay Clarke played four seasons for the Lady Hornets women’s basketball team from 1975-79.  A native of Medicine Lodge, she was named All-American by the National Scouting Association prior to her senior year. A three-year co-captain at guard, Clarke is the 10th all-time leading scorer in ESU history with 1,138 points.  She also ranks seventh in career scoring average (13.1), eighth in field goals made (518) and sixth in field goals attempted (1291).  She helped lead the team to the Kansas AIAW Division II title in 1976.  She averaged 14.4 points as a senior in helping ESU to a ninth-place finish in the 1979 AIAW National Small College Tournament.  That same squad also won the CSIC, Kansas AIAW and Region VI AIAW titles.
