The Radio Voice of the Hornets since 1988, Rahe has been on the call for over 1,500 Emporia State radio broadcasts including national championship games for football in 1989, softball in 2006, baseball in 2009 and women's basketball in 1998 and 2010. He is a nine-time KAB Award winner and earned the 2018 Hod Humiston Award for Sports Broadcasting given annually to a Kansas broadcaster who has made significant contributions to the field of sports broadcasting as well as work in the community.
