Carrier was a three-sport Hornet athlete who earned All-American honors in basketball in 1985.  A three-time All-District 10 performer, she is listed in seven categories in the ESU career top-10 list and is the school's second all-time leading scorer with 1,557 points.  She also set school records during her career for most free throws made in a season and in a career.  The Overbrook native also earned All-District 10 honors in 1984 and 1985 for the ESU volleyball team. She also was a member of the 1984 NAIA national champion softball team.  She began a career in coaching as a graduate assistant in women's basketball at ESU and also was an assistant coach at Northern Montana College from 1987-92. After serving as the head women's basketball coach at William Jewell College from 1992-96, she was named women's basketball coach at Johnson County Community College.
