Cindy (Blakeley) Cameron was an NAIA?All-American in both cross country and track. She was the national runner-up in the mile at the 1988 NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Ottawa, Kan. native graduated as the school record in the indoor mile at 5:01.24, was ranked second in the indoor 3000m at 10:10.83 and is currently ranked fourth in both events at Emporia State. She earned individual cross country All-American honors in 1987, finishing ninth. Still an active runner, she was the national runner-up in the USATF Masters 5,000 in 2006 and third in the USATF Masters Cross Country Championships in 2013.
