Ketterman was a four-time CSIC champion in both singles and doubles. She twice won KAIAW singles championships and led the Hornets to the AIAW championship tournament. As a freshman she reached the regional singles final. Ketterman won the NAIA District 10 singles and doubles championships as a junior and senior in 1982-83, playing with different partners each time. She led Emporia State to 15th place in team standings at 1982 NAIA National Tournament. She was named an NAIA Academic All-American Scholar-Athlete following her senior season.
