The 1968 Hornet cross country team were the NAIA National Runners-Up, missing a national championship by just four points. Dennis Delmott and David Brinsko both earned All-American honors, placing 12th and 15th respectively while Dennis Nee (23rd), Bob Szymanski (30th) and Darrell Patterson (36th) all finished in the top 40.
